[KIT-list] Event tonight (must register by 5PM) "How to Find Your Remote Dream Job and Silicon Valley's TEXIT"

Hello Everyone,

There's a great on-line event tonight at 7PM (registration closes at 5PM) hosted by our friends at the Northside Branch of the Santa Clara Library.

We've had many in-person events at this wonderful library, with panels of hiring experts sharing key advice, so I wanted to let you know about this online event that should be super informative tonight.

With COVID, it has opened up the opportunities to work remotely with virtually (sorry, pun not intended!) any company.

"How to Find Your Remote Dream Job and Silicon Valley's TEXIT"
Mon, January 11, 2021
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM PST

YOU MUST REGISTER BY 5PM PST!

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/online-how-to-find-your-remote-dream-job-and-silicon-valleys-texit-tickets-133515048103

Learn from our experts how to find your dream remote job -- and should you consider moving to areas low tax rate states like Texas for work?

Tesla, Oracle, and HP's massive Silicon Valley "tech exit" to Texas (TEXIT) has job seekers wondering whether remote work is here to stay. Why be tethered to the office when you can work remotely and "kick it" in a less expensive area (than Silicon Valley) or near a beach or in another County. Learn from our experts:

  • How to Find a Remote Dream Job
  • How to pitch an existing office job into a remote job.
  • Keys to keeping your remote job forever
  • What is the COVID effect on remote work? Will remote work continue after COVID is over?
  • Why should I consider moving to another area for work?
  • What's so great about Texas (other than lower taxes and stretching your money further).

kiEventbrite registration is required. This program is sponsored by Aspira Consulting and Lagom Global Consulting Company.

If you have questions about the program, please contact Northsidelibrary@santaclaraca.gov

Wishing you all a wonderful new year ahead!

Sue
