Title: SAS Analytics Analyst
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6+ months contract, renewed quarterly
Contractor Position Job Description :
This team provides market estimates/forecast for different products and services across countries, industries and employee size classes. The estimates/forecast are obtained using econometric and statistical models.
The ideal candidate will be working with the this team to develop models for forecasting and for other relevant analysis for the team. The candidate will also be involved in other special projects requiring statistical and econometric models. Calibration of historical data using several variables as well as simulation; sensitivity and scenario analysis constitute a significant part of the modeling process.
Qualifications:
PhD in Econometrics or Statistics (Plus)
At least 3yrs experience in building econometric and statistical models
Experience and Proficiency in using SAS (Base certification level). Knowledge of additional statistical software such as Eviews, Mathematica, Matlab will be an advantage.
Experience working with very large datasets
Team Player with high degree of self-motivation
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal and communication skills
Detail oriented, fast learner with strong analytical organizational skills
