Backend Server Engineer
In this position, you will design and develop software for a next-generation Visual Analytics and Collaboration suite. You will be focused on building innovative technology for serving highly interactive analytic experiences for analyzing large data. You will be challenged to leverage your creativity and experience to create new products that extend customer ability to see, understand, and "reach out and touch" their large data sets in real time. The position will provide many interesting, hard-core technical challenges and as much responsibility as you can handle.
Primary Responsibilities
The Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of design and development of server-side and client-side software in the visual analytics and collaborative data analysis space. Specific responsibilities include:
+ Architect, design and implement major features in existing and new products
+ Author automated tests
+ Work with customers, support, and QA to resolve bugs and support issues
+ Review and provide detailed feedback on documentation and test plans for features
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
+ Strong knowledge of relational database technology
+ Knowledge of Windows technologies and development tools
+ Strong experience with C++ application development
+ 3+ years developing commercial software on the Windows platform
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver packaged software solutions to customers
+ Experience with OLAP and MDX a plus
+ Experience with Windows installation technology (MSI) a plus
+ Ability to work well individually, and as part of a team
Qualifications
+ BSCS or equivalent
Working Conditions
• Location: Seattle, WA or San Mateo, CA
• Occasional travel may be required
