IT Account Planning Manager (APM)

Responsibilities
• The Account Planning Manager (APM) is the process and subject matter expert who works together with the Business Partner Directors (BPD) and the business stakeholders on development and problem solving that directly affects the business process or technology.
• This role is the interpreter between the Strategic Demand Management, IT Service Delivery, IT Architecture and the business stakeholder, advocating for the business stakeholder and ensuring a balance between the various stakeholder demands. This role gets involved with projects during the Select Stage, assisting the Business Partner Director in developing the documentation and deliverables required for the project approval process. This includes the preparation of the business case and the associated scorecard/ROI.
• The Account Planning Manager also coordinates closely with the Business Analysts in the initial Stage, ensuring that the requirements are meeting the original business objectives. The APM may support one or more of the Business Partner Directors in their efforts to deliver value specifically to a region or area of the business.
• The Account Planning Manager is also expected to gather, write and review business requirements in collaboration with a Business Analyst.
• Works closely with Business Analysts after a project is in flight to verify requirements and support the systems analysis process. Works closely with the BPD(s) to define the scope of new project opportunities. Assists in the development of project requests, including the ROI and cost-benefit analysis. Analyzes business issues in collaboration with BPDs and business customers/end users.
• Support the project approval and portfolio management processes. Provides research into specific issues and information needs.
• Conducts or tracks financial and budget information for the projects budgets. Review and communicate technology/process direction to business stakeholders.
• Primary liaison back into the IT Service Delivery and IT Architecture organizations.
• Leads collection and analysis of data and information from business users to understand how systems can solve business problems, and identifies opportunities for process improvement.
• Understands the business issues and data challenges of client´s organization and industry.
• Engage and may lead in collection and analysis of possible project scoping activities (objectives, deliverables, critical success factors, assumptions, global and regional considerations, and resource requirements, prioritization, cost/benefit analysis, potential risks, and feasibility.

Qualifications
• 8-12 years business analysis, data analysis, system functional/non-functional analysis, business case development, project management or process management in IT.
• Experience in Network Design, IT architecture or Data Center operations
• Must demonstrate ability to lead by influence and manage a cross-functional, global team
• Working knowledge of productivity, testing, and quality measurements
• Must have solid facilitating, problem solving and negotiating skills.
• Experience in project estimation techniques.
• Trusted relationship with business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated collaborative partnership skills with internal and external teams.
• Demonstrated experience managing relationships with technologists.
• Ability to find creative solutions when options are limited.
