Business Communications Manager needed for long term consulting assignment at stable / public client.

Job Role:

The Business Value team is seeking an extraordinary Communications Manager to partner and help articulate the team´s product story, specifically focused around business impact & value delivered. As a key trusted partner the candidate is expected to participate in and understand all areas of business value work that are underway.

He/she needs to have the ability to collate information to tell the overarching story as well as the details as needed. The candidate will largely own projects which include both written communications and presentations.

The results-oriented candidate will build collaborative partnerships with teammates, executives, and key stakeholders to successfully execute deliverables. The candidate will also have the opportunity to attend meetings to gain contextual understanding of the business value efforts in process to support the case study write ups and documentation.

The candidate will have demonstrated exceptional communications and project management skills in previous roles. In particular, experience with;

• Translating technical speak into easily understood goals, objectives, and benefits.
• Developing success measures from stakeholder goals and objectives
• Creation of concise, easy to understand presentation content from multiple sources
• Managing multiple assignments from conception to completion on time.

Job Responsibilities:


1. Develop & drive a comprehensive communications plan for Product´s business value such that it:

• Aligns with the several groups overarching Communications Plan, and Communications Plan as they relate to business value.
• Leverages the Corporate Communications messaging pillars
• Addresses both Company´s internal and external audiences (coordinating with AR, PR, and other Marketing teams as appropriate)
• Comprehensively tells business value story

2. Develop and Market Case Studies & Presentations

• Interview business process owners and users to write & publish case studies around the successful use of product.
• Develop supporting presentations for both internal and external audiences
• Market business value case studies internally and externally, aligning with the greater business value communications plan (listed above)

3. White Paper(s), Draft an initial white paper on the team and others as needed

4. Ad Hoc projects to support the above efforts on an as needed basis


The ideal candidate is/ has:

• A strong writer and critical editor, creative, deadline-driven, highly focused on the details, and enjoys working collaboratively
• Self starter
• Creative thinker, comfortable with ambiguity
• Exceptional communication skills; able to communicate effectively with both a technical audience and business users; able to probe and ask questions to understand fundamental business value drivers
• Detail oriented
• Ability to understand business processes
• Attention to detail, strong listening skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently within established time lines
• Written and presentation development skills are an absolute requirement.
• Flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment
• BA/BS in Communications or related field plus 8+ years of relevant experience.
