Must Have's
You need to be a brilliant and creative 'A' player with a stellar track record of accomplishment, who can bridge the gap between the latest application development trends, languages, and tools with cloud and/or enterprise based data and applications. You must have a passion for identifying innovative trends and for solving integration challenges among enterprise, private and public cloud environments. You must be a "tinkerer" who plays with lots of new technologies to quickly build out prototypes and proof of concepts. You must be a person who gets things done vs. a "pundit". You need to be a pragmatist and not at all religious about technology choices. You must be able to think strategically one minute and roll up your sleeves and dig into the code the next. You must be highly collaborative – not a lone wolf. You must be confident, but with ego in check.
Responsibilities
Your job is to help keep MuleSoft on the leading edge, by understanding external products, communities and trends which are evolving as organizations shift to next generation platforms. You must be able to code up demo's, samples, and prototypes, as well as create simple product, market and business plans with clearly identified target users, use cases, key pain points, and competitive differentiation. You must then advocate and drive initiatives to turn the ideas into products, messaging and solutions.
Day to day, you will need to work with all facets of the company from engineering, pre-sales, product management and professional services. You will also need to work with our customers, partners, and the open source community. You will need to be able to easily interact with an engaged executive team that is laser-focused on innovation and rapid growth.
Additional technical requirements
* An accomplished Java developer with interest and capability to code in multiple languages, such as JavaScript, Ruby, Groovy, Python, and/or PHP
* Experience using public or private cloud technologies in a hands on manner
* No fear when it comes to understanding and articulating architecture and technology requirements around security, multi-tenancy, web services, scalability, integration and messaging
* Demonstrate ability to dive deep technically into a topic, understand the problem and technical alternatives, then jump up and articulate the opportunity and value proposition to a business audience
* Experience in operational deployment of applications either in the enterprise or a hosted/SAAS environment
* Demonstrable product experience with multiple modern application and web frameworks and an understanding of the selection criteria and how developers evaluate technology
* A passion for a great developer user experience, especially at the level of APIs, frameworks, tools, and documentation
* Ability to write fluently and with credibility to a technical audience (whitepapers, blogs, articles) with the ability to make a compelling argument, even if it challenges traditional developer thinking
