The US Product Development Group's (USPDG) mission is to build enterprise level mission critical applications and offer innovative solutions to our customers in countering a rapidly changing threat landscape. The group has long history and is proud in producing industry leading solutions widely adopted by our customers including award-winning InterScan product line, the Stargate/Cisco alliance product line, and various version one products for Trend Micro.
Senior Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities
As a senior contributor, you will be working on mission critical enterprise software with top notch engineers. You will have exposure to many internally developed security technologies as well as products and technologies in the market. This role requires excellent technical leadership and communication skills in addition to a high degree of adaptability and creativity. Expects to provide solutions to difficult problems, implement enterprise grade quality software independently, and collaborate with remote teams in other regions around the world.
Job duties include leading security management platform and application module design and implementation, conducting peer level code review, interacting with internal groups and collaboration with outside partners.

Qualifications
• 8+ years software development experience
• Proven experience in working on large and complex software systems
• Must demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ideal candidate should demonstrate history of technical innovation, attention to detail, ability to handle shifting priorities, changing directions and multi-tasking
• Good planning and effort estimation skills
• Able to transform marketing requirements into customer values via innovation and technical solutions
• Able to convert broad requirements to detailed specification and document software designs via functional specifications and other design documents
• Agile mentality, quick learner, and can-do spirit

Experiences & Skills desired
• Proven track records of building and releasing enterprise grade software products and/or Internet web applications
• Strong OOD concept and OOP aptitude using C++/Java
• Knowledge or experience leveraging open source technologies such as PostgreSQL, Lucene/Solr
• Understanding of virtualization and cloud computing concepts and technology a big plus
• Experience in handling large volume of data in distributed environment a big plus
• Experience of startup environment or version 1.0 product is a plus
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, XP, etc) is highly desirable
• Knowledge of security or system management platform and SIEM is desirable

Education
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Graduate degree a plus
