SaaS Engineer
In this position, you'll be on the forefront of bringing hosted / SaaS products to market. You'll build innovative technology that will expose next-generation data analysis technology and ideas to a large number of customers via the Web. You'll be challenged to think of data analysis and collaboration as a service and push analytics into a hosted environment where it can be actively developed and honed to provide continuous improvements and major new functionality to a very committed and large customer base.
Primary Responsibilities
You will be responsible for all aspects of design and development of server-side and client-side software in the visual analytics and collaborative data analysis space. Specific responsibilities include:
+ Architect, design and implement major features to bring a new SaaS based offering to market
+ Provide key knowledge and experience in developing SaaS products
+ Work with customers, support, and QA to resolve bugs and support issues
+ Review and provide detailed feedback on documentation and test plans for features
+ Author automated tests (unit test and black box tests)
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
+ Strong knowledge of Windows technologies and development tools
+ Strong experience implementing large-scale software systems
+ Experience with development on Linux is preferred
+ Object-oriented development experience, including 3+ years of C++ and/or Java
+ Experience with Java-based server development is highly desired
+ Experience with scripting languages used for Web development such as Python or Ruby a plus
+ Ability to work well individually, and as part of a team
Qualifications
+ BSCS or equivalent
Working Conditions
+ Location: Seattle, WA or San Mateo, CA
+ Occasional travel may be required
