This person will provide pre-sales support, online assistance, and create self-serve evaluation tools for Java developers and SQL analysts working with big data in Hadoop. They will become the product line usage expert conducting webinar demos, recording mini-video demos, posting tips and tricks on how to do cool things with the product, and answering forum questions on a community site for developers and analysts evaluating commercial products and using a free product. Experience with Big Data, Hadoop or MapReduce is not required, though being an articulate, passionate "hand-on" technology expert is. This is the perfect position for someone who loves to work with developer-oriented technology.

Be the owner of a Developer Community Site
• Monitor and provide answers in web forums for those evaluating the technology or using a free product

Support Partner and Customer Recruitment
• Demo and present Karmasphere products
• Research integration solutions
• Help create joint value propositions as needed
Become a leader in the Big Data space
• Establish relationships with Hadoop users and developers
• Submit, create and deliver speaking engagements at Hadoop and related conferences, summits and user groups.
• Act as spokesperson to the community; communicating company's goals, plans and initiatives in an effective way which encourages community support
Requirements
• Four year degree from an accredited college or university in either computer science or engineering
• Six years experience in one or more of the following areas: sales engineering, technical product marketing, technical training, or system integration/consulting
• Six years experience in one or more of the following areas: sales engineering, technical product marketing, technical training, or system integration/consulting
• Strong people skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to effectively communicate and demo technologies, products and business solutions to audiences large and small
• Highly organized and proactive
• Technically proficient with hands-on experience with programming languages including Java
• Familiarity with enterprise data processing architectures including RDBMS, EDW, SQL and BI products beneficial
• Some understanding of open source technologies
