eGain is seeking a UI Engineer who designs, implements, tests, and documents usable, attractive, and distinctive web-based and mobile-based software solutions (demonstrations, prototypes, and applications) for customer requirements, using the eGain OpenCIH platform and eGain Service suite (plus third party software and web services). The ideal candidate will be responsible for building web UI with object-oriented JavaScript, CSS, DHTML and server side Java layers.
Requirements
• Front End development skills (Graphic design skills are not required):
HTML/XHTML/JavaScript/CSS/AJAX/Flex/ActionScript/etc
• Web services and data formats (REST/SOAP/XML/JSON)
• Experience in writing code using object-oriented JavaScript
• Ability to use and extend third party JavaScript libraries such as YUI, ExtJS, JQuery, Mootools, Dojo, etc.
• Fluent and hands-on with DHTML/CSS
• Designers "eye" for clean, distinctive, usable UI
• Five or more year's relevant experience
• Engineering degree preferred
• Resourceful and quick
• Enthusiastic and curious
