Title: Technical Financial Analyst
Duration: 3 mos+ (renewable per quarter)
Location: San Jose, CA
-Support the Contracts Management Office on contract reporting and compliance activities
-Run and analyze various reports (extract, mine and analyze) and respond to reporting requests (Business Objects, Ad hoc requests)
- Monthly pricelist updates (run GPLs, scrub, perform carve outs, reformat per each States requirements)
- Responsible for quarterly metrics, including creating the necessary PowerPoint for submission to management and web posting
- Manage, maintain, and improve existing contract databases
- Further automate and improve existing tools, templates and business processes
- Develop NEW automation tools and templates for process improvement initiatives
- Help drive and manage IT & business process outsourcing activities, including SOW development, overseeing project implementation and ongoing monitoring of Vendor performance
- Documentation of business processes for Contracts Management Office Playbook
- Provide training to internal and external groups (including developing materials)
- Help with check requests and processing payments with A/P
- Responsible for Extended Aging Report, including scrubbing the Report to identify the contract and quarter and work with the Contract Managers to collect payments from partners for outstanding invoices
- Contracts Management Office Websites managing the webpages (open new cases and manage through completion, granting access, etc.)
- Assist in special assignments and/or projects, including affiliate integration (i.e. Tandberg, WebEx, Ironport)
- Serve as backup and support to Contract Managers
REQUIRED Technical Skills/Background:
- Advanced skills with MS Office 2007 (Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
- Highly proficient with MS Access, including building tables, queries, forms and reports. Ideal candidate should understand VBA code and has the ability to build or edit macro VBA processes.
- Possess experience in data-mining and producing adhoc stakeholder reports, including data-mining and management reporting.
- Extremely proficient with MS Excel: including creating and editing spreadsheet formulas including vlookups, if statements (with nested ifs), concatenate, and macros (using VBA), data validation (drop down menus).
- Solid experience with building and manipulating pivot tables and using spreadsheet data to create adhoc reports. Can easily perform conditional formatting and data manipulation.
- Strong experience at applying the results of the MS Access and Excel data analysis to build clear and concise PowerPoint presentations that tell the story of what the numbers mean to the audience (i.e. graphs, charts, etc.).
- Ability to work independently in researching data integrity issues, or anomalies such as sudden changes in contract sales trends. And, attempt to resolve any identified issues and present your suggested solutions to your manager.
- Strong Project Management experience and skills, PM Certification a plus
- Advanced analytical skills, knowledge of financial reporting tools, extraction of data from data bases and performing analysis (including cost and price analysis and auditing support)
- Extensive process improvements experience (systems, tools and documentation), including developing new business processes, tools, and templates to increase productivity and efficiency
- Solid experience in developing and drafting business process documentation (i.e. Playbook)
- Experience managing databases, HTML and web design skills a plus
- Basic coding/programming skills preferred
- Solid communications (verbal and written), influencing and presentation skills
- Can work independently, with little supervision, but a solid team player
- Extremely results-oriented (demonstrated success in producing) and effective, creative and fast problem solver
- Comfortable working virtually with cross-functional teams
- Experience in training internal and external groups including developing the necessary training materials
- Management and support of website to support contract compliance
- Experience working with Sales and Legal folks or in sales/channels organizations
