TITLE: Web Developer/PHP Engineer, Game Development
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is a social game developer located in San Francisco. They are seeking smart, creative people to join them--they are an energetic company, backed by top-tier VCs, developing the next generation of social games. Their management team has a proven track record, and their game designers are responsible for hits like...(ask me). With your help, there are more to come.
The PHP Engineer is an elegant problem solver. The features you design and efficient maintenance you provide will be critical to the superior gaming experience our players have come to expect. You're a quick thinker with solid experience in database-driven web technologies, and you thrive working in a high-volume system.
Specific Duties include:
Collaborate to produce and manage high quality code
Execute organized, coherent code
Demonstrate comfort with complex code bases
Take ownership of a project life-cycle: from specifications through QA
REQUIRED SKILLS:
B.S. in Computer Science (or the equivalent)
4-6 years of experience in software development
At least 3 years of experience in PHP web development
Experience developing web applications on one or more of the following: Linux, Apache, MySQL
Working knowledge of front-end technologies (Javascript, CSS, Ruby)
Experience with Facebook and/or MySpace platforms
Interest in and ability to assess data sets and perform data visualization
Experience in a variety of environments
Multi-lingual preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Passion for social gaming
