Ancestry.com, based in SF, Ca is a rapidly growing web property that continues to be a leader in software tools for family history. We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for lead responsibilities for our team in San Francisco. Ancestry.com has been in business for over 12 years and we have seen our stock double over the last year. We have opened up a new development center in SF and currently have 15 employees and we hope to build that group to 35+ moving forward.
Senior Software Engineer ( key areas of importance are ASP.NET MVC, or MVC in ASP.Net, background in scaleability, and optimization, and solid track record of accomplishment)
Required Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years experience with C#, ASP .Net, required.
- 5+ year's web experience; ability to scale applications, work at various levels of the architecture are critical for this role.
- Experience with MVC, SQL Server is preferred.Experience with Agile software development methods is a plus.
Willingness to learn and use Java
Excellent writing and communication skills.
