Job Title Software Engineer

Duties
* Maintain and enhance complex Object Oriented Perl-based framework for advanced multi-system installation and configuration routines for Storage Foundation and Cluster Server products
* Developing and maintaining Web based tools and scripts for managing the archival, build, tracking and installation of operating system level packages for VERITAS File System, Volume Manager, Cluster Server and other products.
* System Administration of the Install Test Servers including Storage Management, monitoring and tuning.
* Diagnose software program build errors and coordinate the fixes with product leads and build engineers.
* Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-geographical teams
* Works with little or no supervision. Is able to take general direction and formulate specific tasks to accomplish the desired end result.

Skills
* Thorough knowledge of Perl,CGI Perl, and Unix Shell script writing.
* Systems Administration and storage management knowledge.
* Deep Knowledge of multiple Unix, Linux and Windows platforms.
* Strong understanding of all Unix, Linux, OS packaging subsystems and deployment technologies such as Jumpstart, Ignite, Network Installation Manager, Kickstart.
* Attention to detail

* Good verbal and written communication skills

Education
-Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
-Master of Science in Computer Science is preferred.
