SilverTail systems based in Palo Alto is a 3 year old startup with 20 people who has already reached a cash positive position. We are growing rapidly and we are a key player in the rapidly growing anti-fraud, anti-hacking space on the Internet. We have several major customers and we continue to add to our list. We are looking for a key operations engineer who can be a hybrid in performing Professional services, Support, and some implementations.
Operations Support Engineer (ideal candidate has a background in technical support/professional services/ and experience in security would be a plus)
Responsibilities
Assist Silver Tail Systems' Solutions Engineering team
Manage and support SilverTail Systems Operations
Interact with SilverTail systems Product Management team
Play a major role in an early stage revenue producing company
Skills
Must be competent in Linux with basic shell scripting skills
Must understand distributed architecture
Must have solid networking understanding
Experience with port mirroring (Span or VACL) would be a plus
5+ years of experience in either support/engineering/professional services
An impressive track record of accomplishment
