Position: QA Architect
Location: San Mateo, CA

uCIRRUS has developed a breakthrough technology that can now take true advantage of multi-core systems and the ever-increasing memory on these systems. PUSHvm is the flagship uCIRRUS product that offers a fusion of low latency processing with a data broadcast capability, allowing PUSHvm to ingest and process massive amounts of data in real-time. We are looking for a highly skilled, self-motivated individual to join our company and lead our QA effort. This person will work primarily with the Development group to understand product details and determine how to best ensure the quality of the product. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with continual change and as part of a small team.
The main responsibilities will be:
•Write and execute test plans that can assure the quality of the products and features being developed by the Product Development group
•Build automated test suites that are easy to maintain and extend
•Provide leadership and direction to other QA developers
•Assess and improve the quality-related practices of the company to enable the delivery of enterprise-ready, high quality products
•Carry out all of the above, balancing the quality needs of the company with the resources available, making recommendations for trade-offs where appropriate
Job Qualifications:
•Highly experienced QA developer with a minimum of 7 years experience testing enterprise products, with at least 3 years in a leadership/architect role
•Is familiar with SQL and has worked with at least one popular database product (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
•Knowledge of networking protocols, especially TCP/IP
•Extensive programming experience in C++
•Extensive experience with scripting languages (Perl/Python/Shell)
•Familiar with Linux
•Excellent written and verbal skills
•Has a Bachelor or Masters of Science in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Additional experience that would be a plus:
•Experience with parallel systems
•Experience with testing on multi-core systems
•Experience with other programming languages such as Java or Perl.
•Experience with Windows Server
•Experience with leading a team, especially where the team had offshore developers
•Experience working in a start-up
