Position Overview:

The key job functions for this position are as follows:

•Defining amazing user experience (UX) and user interfaces (UI) for mobile products at Lonely Planet:

o UX: Develop elegant and functional mobile user experience concepts, models, prototypes, templates, patterns, scenarios, and specifications that fulfil (and exceed where possible) brand, business and user goals.

o UI: Develop and produce stunning and functional user interface concepts and interface designs.

•Participate in defining the product roadmap with VP of Wireless and other team members.

•Contribute creative ideas and apply creative thinking to problem solving.

•Help ensure that all design work is completed on time and within allocated budgets.

•Be a strong advocate for the customer.

The key duties and responsibilities for this position are as follows:

1. User experience (UX) design, conceptualization, specification and prototyping

2. Interface design (UI)

3. Graphic design

This role:
•Reports directly to the VP wireless.
•Co-operates with the Creative Director for idea development and creative approval for quality, consistency, messaging, tone and visual direction.

Key Result Areas:
•Development of elegant, intuitive and pragmatic UX models.
•Attention to detail and quality output by agreed deadlines.
•Working effectively with business owners and team members to develop concept directions.
•Adhering to and contributing to global visual language guides.
•Assisting with user research and usability testing.
•Collaboration with design team and participation in training as required.
