UX/UI Software Engineer
San Francisco, CA
We believe it takes a lot of work to make something simple. We're all for best practices, but strive to innovate when and where it makes sense. We're looking for UX/UI engineers who embrace this philosophy, and bring with them a passion for their work and a desire to change the world through user experience. You'll work with everyone on our small team in our space near South Park in San Francisco to build the best user experience possible.
Requirements:
A pure love of UX, UI, and customers
Experience in Python/Django, JavaScript, CSS/HTML
An attention to detail that sometimes annoys your friends
The ability to present your ideas and consult with our customers
Sense of humor (everyone says this, but we really mean it…you might be asked to tell jokes in your interviews)
Nice-to-haves:
BS or MS in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or Computer Science, with emphasis or experience in UI development
At least 2-3 years experience with modern web apps
Experience developing business and/or social apps
Familiarity with Balsamiq or a similar tool
Your typical day might include:
Coffee
Collaborating with our designers to create gorgeous interfaces and simple, intuitive interactions and experiences
Implementing these designs including the experimentation and multiple iterations
Free lunch
Developing user personas and scenarios, considering edge-cases, A/B testing, and explaining why some designs are better than others
Testing application UIs on real users to make sure they work
