Senior Software Engineer

You've excelled in writing great code and are experienced in the facets of software engineering. You're ambitious, focused and now you're looking to make an immediate and lasting impact on your next career project. As a Senior Software Engineer at Elance, you will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of key Elance product features that will help shape the emerging online workplace. Here's what you need to know:
Your Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Product Management team to review product requirements as well as QA & Customer Support teams to triage and fix bugs with rapid turnaround.
Cooperate constructively with fellow software engineers to perform requirements analysis and produce solid technical designs.
Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements with little or no supervision.
Collaborate with the entire Elance team to contribute to the continuous refinement of product strategy, software development methodology, internal tools and anything else that helps Elance maintain and expand its market leading position.
Your Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a top school; MS or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
4+ years of development experience in PHP and Object Oriented programming building components on both the server side and client side.
Expert knowledge of OO and Web technologies is required.
Experience working on highly scalable and high performing web applications.
A work style that is extremely detail oriented. Someone who strives for pixel perfect implementation in all browsers.
Experience with JavaScript Frameworks (MooTools, JQuery) highly desirable.
Familiarity with both Windows and Linux environment and databases (Oracle/ MySQL) highly desirable.
The drive, flexibility and passion to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, informal startup environment.
