PROJECT RELATED COMPETENCIES

* Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large scale projects.
* Ensures that policies and procedures are being followed, that goals and objectives are met, and that services and projects are being accomplished efficiently and effectively * Implements project review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with our methodology to ensure successful execution of consulting engagements or in house development deliverables measured by goals and customer satisfaction.
* Reviews high-level deliverables across projects.
* Manages scope and mitigates risk across projects.
* Develops and monitors the program´s budget; oversees financial well-being of the program by analyzing cost effectiveness and exercising cost controls; prepares, submits and justifies budget enhancement requests to the VP or Director.
* Determines appropriate resource allocation, ensures accurate invoicing, and monitors project plans for all projects under his/her direction.
* Addresses escalation issues when they arise.
* Develops and directs the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards where applicable for the assigned program; interprets and complies with all applicable regulations and compliance requirements.
* Client Management * Negotiates, develops, monitors and administers a variety of contracts and agreements.
* Monitors and stays abreast of technological, legal and operational changes that affect the activities and work processes of the program; makes recommendations for and develops and carries out improvements to the program to meet changing mission parameters and requirements.
* Confers with and represents the program and the department in meetings with other departments and divisions; serves as the IT representative with a variety of vendors, consulting groups and industry related organizations; fosters collaborative working relationships to the benefit of the program and the department.
* Develops systems and maintains records that provide for the proper evaluation, control and documentation of assigned activities; prepares a variety of written correspondence, reports, procedures, directives and other materials.
* Identifies partnership opportunities and capitalizes on "add-on" opportunities across projects.
* Plans, organizes, administers, reviews and evaluates the work of subordinate professional, technical, support and operational staff where present, through subordinate supervisors and lead workers.
* Takes corrective action as necessary and, where subordinates are present, may relieve them of the most difficult, sensitive or controversial projects within the program.
* Provides for the selection, training, professional development and work evaluation of subordinate staff and makes recommendations on hiring, termination, promotion and discipline as required.
* Grows long-term relationships with clients and capitalizes on partnership opportunities.
* Possesses a thorough understanding of our service offerings, technical preferences, and technical direction.
* Challenges others to develop as leaders while clarifying roles and responsibilities.
* Pursues excellence in all aspects of business.
* Possesses the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change.
* Evokes creative and innovative thinking from team members while helping them to bring their ideas and career plans to fruition.

* Some travel required.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Indicate level - required, preferred or helpful)
EDUCATION * 4 year business related degree required * Project Management Certification preferred

EXPERIENCE
* 15 years of extensive and varied experiences in managing large scale projects.
* Proficient with current desktop tools and MS Project. Strong technical ability.
* Strong knowledge/experience with project management and system development methodology.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and within a team and interact effectively with business partners * Effective leader and communicator
