[KITlist-Tech] Creative Copywriter (Fully Remote)
Please direct your responses to:
http://chc.tbe.taleo.net/chc02/ats/careers/apply.jsp?org=CRAWFORD&cws=1&rid=1174
Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) has an exciting remote opportunity for an innovative Creative Copy Writer to join our clients' Internal Communications and Creative Media team. The set-up is really unique. This small (fun and dynamic) team of approximately 12 people operates like an internal agency (setting direction, taking briefs, concepting ideas, executing ideas, managing deadlines, overseeing delivery), serving a portfolio of "clients" within the Leadership and Team Intelligence organization—a large practice area in HR. It's essentially a creative agency that exists within a giant tech company.
This role is for a remote writer – you can work from home, so location isn't an issue. The team spans North America to New Zealand and interactive meetings and working sessions are made possible through collaboration technologies. You definitely won't get lonely!
The role can be client facing or more behind the scenes – you're welcome to join briefs and manage content review cycles or have them channeled through the Communications Strategist—this is a new model and it's up to us to test it for what's best for the team. But the bulk of the role will be to translate client briefs into creative narratives and content for all types of channels. Seeking a clever, engaging wordsmith with a sense of humor, who's perhaps a bit on the quirky side, who's not afraid to let their style and innovation shine through in their work. A portfolio of your great work is required for consideration.
Responsibilities:
Coming up with fresh ideas in response to briefs and articulating the insights and ideas in a client-friendly way
Partnering with strategists and creatives to create polished, premium campaign concepts and executions that surprise and delight our clients
Writing a variety of engaging copy, in both editorial and advertising styles, including full-fledged narratives, articles, presentations and campaign headlines
Developing an understanding of market trends and client needs
Communicating and managing stakeholder expectations
Skills:
Mid-level creative copy writer (minimum three years' copy writing experience)
Creative agency experience preferred
Experience in writing for a range of mediums and channels – articles, video, presentations, web, etc.
Eloqua experience a plus
Interested in partnering with a range of people - communications consultants, strategists, art directors, videographers and web developers
Collaborative, able to iterate quickly, energized by delivering in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Rate:
D.O.E. as a W-2 employee of Crawford Group (benefits available)
Location:
Fully offsite/virtual/WFH/telecommute. No phone calls, please.
Hours/Duration:
Full time consulting, ASAP – ongoing, renewable quarterly.
Interested?
Please create a profile and upload your resume in Word format to:

[KITlist-Tech] From Sue: Attention Consultants -- Take the WIC Best Practices Survey and get a free copy of the report
Hello Everyone,
I've been a longtime member of Women In Consulting (WIC), which is a terrific organization for consultants and business owners -- for women and men.
One of WIC's many powerful resources is their annual Best Practices Survey.
Over the years, it's offered excellent insights into the evolution of Bay Area consulting businesses, such as billing trends and rates, consulting expertise and specialties, structure and operations.
Take the Survey and Get a Free Copy of the Report.
The survey is open March 14 to April 7, 2017 and takes only 10 – 15 minutes to complete at: www.tinyurl.com/wic2017
You do not need to be a member to participate -- and participants will receive a free copy of the survey results when it is released in June.
Also, everyone who participates is entered into a drawing for a free WIC workshop or general meeting.
Whether your business continues to expand, has experienced a slowdown or turnaround, or is consistent with last year, please share your experiences.
Feel free to pass the survey link along to other consultants outside of the WIC Community. The more people who complete the survey, the more meaningful the results will be. Male consultants are welcome to participate, too!
Important Details
The survey closes April 7, 2017 and takes 10 – 15 minutes to complete.
All participants who complete the survey receive the results (normally a member only benefit!) and are entered into a drawing to win one of five prizes (whether or not they're WIC members): a seat in any future WIC workshop (1 winner) or a voucher for one recorded webinar (4 winners).
All information collected in the survey is confidential.
The survey asks some detailed questions about your business for 2016:
- Total revenue for 2016
- Average hourly rate (if applicable)
- Average retainer fee (if applicable)
- Average project fee (if applicable)
- Target hourly rate in project fees (if applicable)
- Number of subcontractors used
- Total amount paid to subcontractors and/or employees
In addition to the report that WIC sends to all participants, they will also present the results at a members-only meeting held at Michaels at Shoreline on Thursday, June 15.
If you'd like to take this opportunity to join WIC as a Premium or Leaders Network member prior to the meeting, you will be able to attend the meeting and benefit from the many other resources and informative meetings WIC provides to consultants.
Thank you in advance for participating, and please forward this to other consultants you know..…the more the merrier!
Thanks, everyone,
Sue

[KITlist-Tech] File - Subscription Tips to Post, Subscribe, Unsubscribe
Gang:
I've compiled a few "tips and tricks" on using the KITlist-Tech group with the hopes that this information will eliminate direct mail to the moderators with these questions. Please read through these instructions.
The best way to use Yahoo groups is via the Yahoo groups website. By doing so, this allows you to change your email preferences from individual emails, to daily digest, to no email at all. Here's how:
Go to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/
If you're not already a member, you'll join here. This allows you to then edit your membership and indicate your email preferences. Also, you can read all job postings via the website, respond directly to posts without having to decipher a cut-off email address, and peruse archived messages.
Of course, you can also subscribe by sending an email to:
KITlist-Tech-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
And you can unsubscribe by sending an email from the address you subscribed with to:
KITlist-Tech-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
Are you a recruiter/employer? Please visit our website where you can post jobs to our subscriber base at: www.kitlist.org
To join the NON-TECH list, send email to:
KITlist-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
And finally, to reach your list moderators, email:
KITlist-Tech-owner@yahoogroups.com
Hope this information helps!
Cheers,
Amy Sloniker

[KITlist-Tech] File - Tell a Friend! Plus, tips to manage KIT Email Volume
We've grown to over 71,000 members just by word-of-mouth by friends helping friends find great jobs.
I really appreciate all the support and the amazing people in this special community!
In order to have enough great jobs for everyone, we need you to tell employers and recruiters about the KIT List so we can get everyone back to work (or into new jobs) faster. The power of friends helping friends is the whole spirit of the KIT List!
KIT LIST TIPS:
This is the monthly reminder to let you know that if the volume of KIT emails is getting too much for your system, here are three options to help you manage them:
1. Direct all KIT emails to a special folder:
Some email systems allow you to create separate folders within your in-box. Create a KIT List folder and then create an email filter that will direct any emails with the word "KIT" in the subject line into that folder.
2. Have your emails grouped into one (or more) KIT email per day:
You can choose "Daily Digest" on your YahooGroups email preferences so that instead of getting individual emails. About twenty individual emails are then combined into one. Depending on the email volume for the day, you may receive more than one digest email.
Go to the KIT List home page on Yahoo Groups at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/
Go to the "Edit Membership" link near the top of the page right above the blue bar saying "Sue Connelly's Keep In Touch List." Under Step 2, choose "Daily Digest" in the "Message Delivery" section. Hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page, and you should be all set.
3. Stop all KIT emails and view jobs via the Web:
Go to the KIT List home page on Yahoo Groups at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/
Go to the "Edit Membership" link near the top of the page right above the blue bar saying "Sue Connelly's Keep In Touch List." Then go under "Message Delivery" and choose "Special Notices." Be sure to choose "Special Notices" since we do occasionally send out important messages from the moderators. Then hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.
Also, please let us know if you get a job or candidate from the KIT List, it means a lot to us (Amy, Kelly and me) to hear how it's working for you!
Take care,
Sue Connelly
