[KITlist-Tech] File - Subscription Tips to Post, Subscribe, Unsubscribe

 


Gang:

I've compiled a few "tips and tricks" on using the KITlist-Tech group with the hopes that this information will eliminate direct mail to the moderators with these questions. Please read through these instructions.

The best way to use Yahoo groups is via the Yahoo groups website. By doing so, this allows you to change your email preferences from individual emails, to daily digest, to no email at all. Here's how:

Go to:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/

If you're not already a member, you'll join here. This allows you to then edit your membership and indicate your email preferences. Also, you can read all job postings via the website, respond directly to posts without having to decipher a cut-off email address, and peruse archived messages.

Of course, you can also subscribe by sending an email to:

KITlist-Tech-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

And you can unsubscribe by sending an email from the address you subscribed with to:

KITlist-Tech-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com

[KITlist-Tech] File - Tell a Friend! Plus, tips to manage KIT Email Volume

Hello Everyone,

We've grown to over 71,000 members just by word-of-mouth by friends helping friends find great jobs.

I really appreciate all the support and the amazing people in this special community!

In order to have enough great jobs for everyone, we need you to tell employers and recruiters about the KIT List so we can get everyone back to work (or into new jobs) faster. The power of friends helping friends is the whole spirit of the KIT List!

KIT LIST TIPS:

This is the monthly reminder to let you know that if the volume of KIT emails is getting too much for your system, here are three options to help you manage them:

1. Direct all KIT emails to a special folder:

Some email systems allow you to create separate folders within your in-box. Create a KIT List folder and then create an email filter that will direct any emails with the word "KIT" in the subject line into that folder.


2. Have your emails grouped into one (or more) KIT email per day:

You can choose "Daily Digest" on your YahooGroups email preferences so that instead of getting individual emails. About twenty individual emails are then combined into one. Depending on the email volume for the day, you may receive more than one digest email.

Go to the KIT List home page on Yahoo Groups at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/

Go to the "Edit Membership" link near the top of the page right above the blue bar saying "Sue Connelly's Keep In Touch List." Under Step 2, choose "Daily Digest" in the "Message Delivery" section. Hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page, and you should be all set.


3. Stop all KIT emails and view jobs via the Web:

Go to the KIT List home page on Yahoo Groups at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KITlist-Tech/

Go to the "Edit Membership" link near the top of the page right above the blue bar saying "Sue Connelly's Keep In Touch List." Then go under "Message Delivery" and choose "Special Notices." Be sure to choose "Special Notices" since we do occasionally send out important messages from the moderators. Then hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.

Also, please let us know if you get a job or candidate from the KIT List, it means a lot to us (Amy, Kelly and me) to hear how it's working for you!

Information Security Engineer

As to mature the information security program, we recognize the value of a formal information security engineering and architecture process as one of the key enablers of such a program. It is the planning process that provides the models, templates and principles that are used to design, implement and operate information security solutions. Roles and Responsibilities

• • Works closely with engineers and architects, other functional area architects and security specialists to ensure adequate security solutions are in place throughout all IT systems and platforms to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.

• • Develops the business, information and technical artifacts that constitute the enterprise information security architecture and solutions.

• • Serves as a security expert in application development, database design, network and/or platform (operating system) efforts, helping project teams comply with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.

• • Participates in security investigations and compliance reviews, as requested by internal or external auditors.

Education and Qualifications

• • A bachelor's, information systems or other related field; or equivalent work experience.

• • Professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other similar credentials, is desired.

• • Ability to work well under minimal supervision.

• • Team-oriented interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including vendors and IT and business personnel.

• • Demonstrable written and verbal communication skills.

Experience

• • Seven to 10 years of combined IT and security work experience, with a broad exposure to infrastructure/network and multi-platform environments.

• • Understanding of Retail industry and applications.

• • Experience with securing cloud (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, AaaS) and Data Center environments.

• • Expert knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across all existing computer platforms.

You will define integration to other systems via services and APIs, key customizations and extensions of the systems, data conversions and migrations. Must have:

OTM is seeking a Sr. Java Developer for a client company project involving eCommerce platform development and services. Long term project using bleeding edge technologies. Client is stable, growing and public.

** Local candidates with local experience preferred (local = San Francisco Bay area)

Responsibilities:

Develop, programming new applications for eCommerce services. You will define integration to other systems via services and APIs, key customizations and extensions of the systems, data conversions and migrations. You will interact with other teams and IT groups on an ongoing basis. Must have:

•Strong Core Java, J2EE, Spring or other MVC framework programming and design skills. Experience with eCommerce backend development.

•Demonstrated expertise in multi-tiered application development, and familiarity with design considerations such as Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), performance, scalability, re-usability and flexibility

•Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle

•Extensive experience with web application servers such as Tomcat, Weblogic, etc.

•Familiarity and experience with packaged or custom CMS solutions

•Proven ability to manage to deadlines and meet cost constraints

•Ability to support multiple projects at the same time

Nice to have:

•Experience with Java/Scala frameworks

•Experience with high traffic eCommerce applications, or online transactional web sites

•Working knowledge of software development methods and Agile development practices

•Knowledge of HTML, XML, Mustache, CSS, Javascript, and JS Libraries

Education/Experience:

•8+ years development experience

•Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Management is required.

•MS degree or equivalent is preferred.

Configuration Analyst (Engineering Change Management) needed for long term project work for direct client project. Client is Fortune 500, growing and stable.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Configuration Analyst with a solid understanding of Product Lifecycle and Engineering Change Management Processes with strong program management and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams to drive product documentation, configuration management and product change control best practices. The Configuration Analyst is responsible for the review, analysis and release of product documentation and product change management worldwide. Responsibilities also include program-managing tasks associated with product configuration, item maturity and product documentation readiness.

Qualifications:

• Exposure and understanding of Engineering Change Order (ECO), Bill of Material (BOM) structuring, part attributes and New Product Introduction (NPI) processes

• Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts in a configure to order and build to replenish environment

• Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems

• Excellent program organizational and management skills

• Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to identify and overcome roadblocks

• Excellent time management skills, able to work independently

• Initiative in selecting and prioritizing tasks for self

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Possess organizational capabilities and ability to carry out responsibilities with little direction

• Must be self-motivated, self-sufficient, self-disciplined, with a proven ability to work effectively under pressure

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities:

• Own and project manage the creation, processing and review of Bills of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Manufacturer Change Orders, Deviations and Product Readiness activities during product development and post launch

• Follow established processes and procedures including Change Management and Program Management

• Program manage the new product documentation requirements for new product readiness and lead cross functional teams to achieve product readiness milestones

• Manage marketing Part Configurations and Project Structure

• Meet timelines, milestones, and deliverables

• Provide input to the project team regarding schedule, issues, deliverable expectations related to change management

• Actively participate in cross functional team meetings

• Participates in process improvement projects and maintains a positive, product relationship with project teams

• Extended hours of support as needed

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

• 3-5 years experience with Change and Program Management

• Knowledge of PLM Systems

• Strong computer skills including pages/word, numbers/excel and keynote
