We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join the AlterG team. In this role you will perform inspection of received product in an ISO-13485 compliant manufacturing environment. You will be working with a team to ensure the quality of materials that are used to product AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmills.. The ideal candidate is an effective team player, has an uncompromised work ethic, commitment to quality, and is poised to have fun.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Perform incoming inspection of items to be sent to stock, including test, measurement, and evaluation activities identified by the area supervisor.
• Inspection of product in process for compliance to manufacturing and quality standards.
• Process nonconforming product, including re-inspection of product once MRB actions are complete and material is presented for inspection and stores.
• Maintain documentation of all inspection activity.
• Reviewing First Article Inspection records submitted from suppliers.
• Processing stock purge requests. This involves coordinating the gathering of all stock and WIP materials for items identified by Engineering and their subsequent inspection.
• Maintain calibration of test equipment, working with third-party calibration services to ensure all test equipment is properly maintained and within specification.
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
• Communicate with coworkers and management on production status and issues.
• Support material management including Receiving, Storage, Shipping, and cycle-counting as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
• Ability to occasionally lift at least 50 pounds
• 2 years or more years of experience in a quality inspection job function.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of ISO-13485 requirements and working within a FDA complaint environment.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Experience with an MRP/ERP system such as NetSuite is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, both in writing and verbally.
