Principal DevOps Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: 6 months, contract-to-hire

We are creating a set of world-class authentication products to help organizations protect against breaches and advanced threats. This hands-on DevOps position offers demanding, challenging, and rewarding career opportunities in security software development, and more; along with a world of opportunities for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on tinkerer and subject matter expert with a proven track record of designing, enabling, and deploying SaaS-based applications and web services environments using modern day concepts of continuous delivery.

About the Role:

In this role, you'll help support us charter to transform the IT industry by:

- Working collaboratively with development engineering to create and deploy a CI/CD infrastructure.

- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.

- Interfacing with the internal CA SaaS hosting team to act as a liaison between the development team and the hosting team

- Developing and implementing environments for quality assurance, development, etc.

- Working with the architecture and development team to programmatically orchestrate new components into our solution stack

- Help troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments

MUST-HAVE Qualifications

The perfect candidate for this role will have a demonstrated record of success in participating and leading in delivering SaaS-based applications to market. An ideal background will include:

- 7+ years of DevOps related experience

- Strong background in AWS, Azure of related SaaS based technologies

- Experience with security related technologies a strong plus

- Experience with automation/configuration management using CircleCI, Teamcity, Jenkins, or an equivalent

- Experience using Docker Containers with OpenShift or Kubernetes

- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is preferred)

- Strong experience with SQL and MySQL

- A working understanding of code and script (shell scripting, PHP, Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc)

- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience

Good-to-Have experience

- Preferred experience with noSQL

The Senior Field Application Engineer will work in existing application engineering team, and provide technical solutions during both the design-in and post-sales phases of the customer relationship helping customers fully utilize our GNSS, short range and cellular wireless products.

Requires a Bachelor Science in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of working experience in mixed signal (RF/Digital) board level design. Must have knowledge of wireless communication systems, including CDMA, UMTS, and LTE.

Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer, and no relocations. Occasional travel to national and international destinations. This position has no direct reports.

Base salary of $140k plus approximately 25% bonus. Work out of your own home with a $12,000 car allowance. Health insurance paid 100% for entire family. Stock options and matching 401K contributions, plus more.

Requirements:

BS/BA 5+ years software, high tech or management consulting experience

2+ years experience in mobile product marketing, including direct ASO experience.

Experience with ASO tools like SensorTower, App Annie, app store testing tools like Google Experiments, StoreMaven or SplitMetrics.

Understanding of performance-based mobile marketing core concepts including CTR, CVR, CPI and LTV.

Familiar with ad attribution platforms like Adjust, Kochava or Appsflyer.

Experience working across various customer segments (e.g., consumer, SMB, and/or enterprise)

Demonstrated ability to thrive in dynamic environments, rapidly anticipating and adapting to shifting priorities
