Principal DevOps Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: 6 months, contract-to-hire
We are creating a set of world-class authentication products to help organizations protect against breaches and advanced threats. The ideal candidate is a hands-on tinkerer and subject matter expert with a proven track record of designing, enabling, and deploying SaaS-based applications and web services environments using modern day concepts of continuous delivery.
About the Role:
In this role, you'll help support us charter to transform the IT industry by:
- Working collaboratively with development engineering to create and deploy a CI/CD infrastructure.
- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
- Interfacing with the internal CA SaaS hosting team to act as a liaison between the development team and the hosting team
- Developing and implementing environments for quality assurance, development, etc.
- Working with the architecture and development team to programmatically orchestrate new components into our solution stack
- Help troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments
MUST-HAVE Qualifications
The perfect candidate for this role will have a demonstrated record of success in participating and leading in delivering SaaS-based applications to market. An ideal background will include:
- 7+ years of DevOps related experience
- Strong background in AWS, Azure of related SaaS based technologies
- Experience with security related technologies a strong plus
- Experience with automation/configuration management using CircleCI, Teamcity, Jenkins, or an equivalent
- Experience using Docker Containers with OpenShift or Kubernetes
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is preferred)
- Strong experience with SQL and MySQL
- A working understanding of code and script (shell scripting, PHP, Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc)
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
Good-to-Have experience
- Preferred experience with noSQL
