Channel Impact is seeking an experienced Channels Operations/IT Portfolio Manager to work side-by-side with our high-tech client. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of portfolio management to support the implementation of development projects. The ideal candidate requires portfolio management capabilities to assure on-time delivery and deliverable quality. You would be responsible for managing the complete life cycle of straightforward to moderately complex projects, including approval, planning, execution, and closeout to ensure planned results are achieved on time.. Develops budgets, timelines, and ensures progress-to-plan, as well as tracking critical project achievements.
This is a full-time W2 role with Channel Impact for someone located in the San Francisco Bay Area, and includes benefits.
What you'll be doing:
Leading and facilitating regular portfolio team meetings, team coordination, action item tracking and release content management.
Effectively working with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to align business strategy and program execution.
Designing portfolio governance processes and policies; Helping to create a structured approach to Managing and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deliverables.
Planning (quarterly and fiscal year), coordinating and managing a large portfolio of IT/OPS Initiatives while anticipating, minimizing and mitigating risks.
Building out integrated dashboards based on data sets and design QBR decks and exec level presentations.
Producing crisp, integrated Reporting and Dashboards to executive staff.
Managing & influencing large cross-functional team/s; demonstrate lateral leadership.
Providing meaningful optics and insights, facilitate engagement sessions with stakeholders.
Helping with the deployment of cross-company Portfolio Management Tools ecosystem, while driving PM maturity & discipline.
Working confidently and easily, within a complex tools ecosystem while managing across teams.
Defining and communicating target release schedule.
Developing release readiness reviews, milestones, and the business Go/No-Go activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists.
Executing on special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
7+ years of end-to-end portfolio management, program/project management, business analysis.
Strong understanding of the portfolio governance, planning process and methodologies.
Solid analytical mindset. Ability to define and build dashboards for executive consumption, while bringing in data from different systems (examples include smartsheet, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
Self-starter with strong decision-making abilities who can drive projects to completion.
Proven track record of achieving results through collaboration and teamwork..
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing to effectively handle sensitive issues.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to write content such as reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers or management.
Strong prioritization skills and the ability to handle multiple job duties in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of basic financial concepts as they relate to funding allocation.
Ability to build relations with stakeholders across the organization and other functions.
Focus on completeness and correctness of data.
Proven track record to put all above into context, and ability to identify gaps between where we are and where we need to be.
Ability to articulate and evolve an actionable plan, cutting through obstacles and leading the team through ambiguity to achieve end-state goals.
Previous Cisco and Channels experience is a big plus.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
