[KITlist-Tech] There are a number of Encore Fellowships (paid consulting) for various Nonprofits. See the Marketing, Business Development need below (Redwood City, CA)

Please direct your responses to: https://www.encore.org/fellowships?utm_source=KIT&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=KITlist

Are you a seasoned professional looking for a second act in the social impact sector? Encore Fellowships provide paid, transitional engagements in non profit organizations for those, typically 50+, with 20 plus years professional experience, who wish to move to the sector.

If you have skills in marketing and business development, several nonprofits need your strategic and operational talent.

An education support organization in Redwood City needs a marketing, outreach and development plan created and fundraising activities implemented.

An organization in San Jose supporting foster youth needs development work developed and implemented with key corporate and other partners.

Learn more about Encore Fellowships and apply in our Program Directory at https://www.encore.org/fellowships?utm_source=KIT&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=KITlist<br

Matches are made based on skills, interest, and availability of positions at non-profit hosts continually throughout the year.. Positions constantly change and are in the SF Bay Area. Fellowships are 1000 hours, typically part-time for a year, and include a $25,000 stipend, education on the sector and networking with a cohort of peers. For more information, contact Gina Cassinelli, Silicon Valley Program Director at gcassinelli@encorefellowships.net.

Next Steps: The Evolution of Yahoo Groups (Final Notification)

Tuesday, November 12, 2019

[KITlist-Tech] From Sue: We’re OK with YahooGroups for now!

Hello Everyone,

Thank you to those of you who've emailed us with the latest news about changes with YahooGroups!

1. The good news is that our emails will continue! Our job announcements will still come to you. YahooGroups platform lets us send such a high volume of emails free of charge, which has been .

2. The only change that relates to us is that we may need to approve new people who sign up. Here's the update from Yahoo:

I've been looking into other options for email delivery for years, as YahooGroups has been supported less, but the paid email platforms are very expensive for a community of 72,000 with the KIT List. Google Groups is one option, yet there are challenges with it as well.

Since there is so much talent among you, I welcome any recommendations for solutions/platforms that would work free of charge or at a very low cost to deliver individual emails to 72,000 members.

Also, I'm looking for a new place to host KIT List "FriendWorking" events that can handle our size and not require a room charge. The Patio, which has been such a great spot for so many of our events, now requires a high drink/food minimum.

Kelly and I are committed to keeping the KIT List going for as long as it helps wonderful people like you find permanent or consulting jobs.

I'm grateful to my sister Kelly for her moderator help! She generously dedicates her time to review and post the jobs, and handles so many of your emails.

We do the KIT List as a a community service and want to continue to keep it free for jobseekers. Kelly and I both have our "day jobs" (Kelly has a graphic design business and I'm a marketing consultant) that pay our own bills so we can keep the KIT List going.

New people are always welcome and you can have friends or colleagues join free by going to www.KITlist.org

Also, thank you to the employers and recruiters who post their jobs to this very special group of people!

We appreciate those of you who refer employers and recruiters to the KIT List so we can have a steady stream of real job opportunities to help great people find great work! That's what we have done since 1997. And we plan to continue!

We'll be here for you!

Sue and Kelly Connelly
