Sr. Business Systems Analyst – Product Management, Stanford Health Care
Full time, hybrid (Palo Alto and remote).
Job ID: R214696.

Stanford Health Care's MyHealth team develops the digital health software our patients use to manage their care. Our mission is to manifest the patients' interests in a software tool that anyone can understand, anyone can use. As evidenced in real-world data, we find that more informed patients are better patients—they are more engaged in their care, smarter about their conditions and treatments, and achieve better outcomes.

The small MyHealth Business Analysis team is responsible for tracking and analyzing the metrics that drive our results, and for converting numbers into opportunities that can improve patients' lives. We work closely and collaboratively with our self-contained software development team to develop and build useful MyHealth features. We seek every opportunity to talk directly with patients, their families and caregivers to associate the personal and the human with the data.

Our team is looking for a strong individual contributor who leads by example and who is motivated to improve health outcomes for Bay Area residents, and to introduce digital health care innovations that can lead the way for the rest of the country to follow. This person can dig into data to derive novel insights and then present the compelling story the data reveal to executives to effect positive change in our patient care. We seek an analytical, flexible, and curious person able to also function as a product/marketing/project manager, whatever it takes to bring software features to life that produce better outcomes for our patients. The role requires knowledge in at least 3 of 4 of: software development, data analytics, the health care ecosystem, and a proven capability for producing high quality written and visual collateral such as marketing materials and functional descriptions.

Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a science, engineering, business management, health administration or a related field. An advanced degree or clinical training is preferred.

The essential functions listed below are typical examples of work performed by positions in this job classification, and are not a comprehensive inventory of all duties, tasks, and responsibilities. Specific duties and responsibilities may vary depending on program needs without changing the general nature and scope of the job or level of responsibility. Employees may also perform other duties as assign.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Employees must abide by all Joint Commission requirements including, but not limited to, sensitivity to cultural diversity, patient care, patients' rights and ethical treatment, safety and security of physical environments, emergency management, teamwork, respect for others, participation in ongoing education and training, communication and adherence to safety and quality programs, sustaining compliance with National Patient Safety Goals, and licensure and health screenings.
Responsible for data analysis of MyHealth programs in support of Stanford Health Care's forward-looking digital health strategy and ensures that patient-facing digital initiatives are data-driven.
Ensures executive alignment of new MyHealth initiatives with the broader business strategy and secures their support.
Manages multi-disciplinary projects that bring together design thinking, strategic and competitive analysis, and creative internal innovation into a focused initiative.
Defines and maintains communication/reporting associated with multiple work streams in support of the strategy and roadmap.
Supports the successful integration of new MyHealth innovations with Stanford Health Care operations and technology systems.
Effectively communicates the value of new MyHealth programs to internal and external audiences.
Manages and resolves risks which could jeopardize the deliverables and results of MyHealth initiatives.
Works with stakeholders to proactively address key risks and resolve problems expeditiously.
Collaborates with User Experience and Software Engineering teams to plan the rollout of new features and services.
Represents the business management function in program/project meetings.
Facilitates all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects.

Experience
At least 4 years of directly related work experience with a health care and/or technology focus.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Significant experience executing multiple concurrent high impact initiatives with aggressive timeframes in a complex matrixed organization.
