We are looking for a Software/SaaS Product Marketing Manager for an ongoing contractor role within the services organization of a global high technology leader. The Product Marketing manager needs to have a strong background in SaaS product marketing with excellent skills in messaging and positioning products. The ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. Role entails working with Product Management, outbound marketing. field sales organizations and other stakeholders to create positioning documents and sales tools to accelerate adoption of new SaaS/service solutions in B2B markets.

This is a 40 hour per week role onsite in at the client's offices in San Jose, as a w-2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. This is an ongoing contract opportunity, with quarterly contracts.

Responsibilities
� Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the products in the market and highlights the value to customers
� Sales enablement - communicate the value proposition of the products to customers and the sales team
� Develop sales tools and marketing collateral, such as white papers, presentations, case studies and ROI calculators
� Support sales efforts with customers and partners

Requirements
� 5+ years of software product marketing experience with enterprise software and/or service products for enterprise markets
� Very strong written communication skills
� Ability to collect requirements, size effort and deliver on schedule
� Excellent people and management skills to interact with colleagues, peers in cross-functional teams, and third parties.
� BS degree

This role will work cross functionally with key partner organizations in the program to provide technical guidance to engineers and business decision makers of architectural and source selection decisions including: buy vs. build vs. reuse, based upon knowledge of software development practices as well as open source licensing.�

Specific Responsibilities:

* Review, evaluation and approval of SW engineering requests for use of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS)
* Primary evaluation of inbound technology licenses for use in client�s products
* Provide approval decisions based on legal and technical criteria for use of FOSS in products, as well as outbound contributions and auditing of mandatory redistributions for adherence to open source license obligations
* Provide expertise during the Mergers and Acquisition process, helping to define functional requirements for third party software reuse across the company
* Interact with Open Source communities external to the company
* Participate on the client�s Open Source Review Board, providing governance concerning internal FOSS policy�
* Research requests for policy clarification and provide input on policy implications; propose responses to the Review Board

Skills:

* 6-7 years' experience of common Open Source software licenses and software development practices
* Experience with LINUX operating systems strongly preferred
* Working knowledge of computer architecture concepts: User space is required; Kernel Loadable Modules (KLMs) strongly preferred; static and dynamic linking is required
* Experience with C/C++, Java programming languages and a strong background in software design
* Firm knowledge of the principles for developing embedded and non-embedded systems
* Strong knowledge of open source licenses or experience developing with open source
* Ability to interface cross-functionally with all levels: engineers, attorneys, commodity managers, business decision-makers, vendors and community representatives
* Requires excellent decision making skills and focus driving collaboration and problem resolution
* Background as an open source contributor is strongly preferred
* MSEE/CS education, combined with 3-4 years of related experience OR BSEE/CS, combined with 4-7+ years of related experience

Key Areas of Responsibility

� Oversees a technology area and is responsible for innovation and leading an entire organization from a technology perspective
� Shows leadership by setting and articulating quality standards through work examples and active participation in projects and the technical leadership council (TLC)
� Writes, presents and publishes technical papers and represents the company at external public forums, standards committees, open source community and to our customers
� Is the primary customer interface for discovery and evaluation of requirements and has a track record of being able to foresee and successfully meet customer needs
� Supports the team in providing formal project proposals and has primary responsibility for requirements, feature set, architecture and task breakdown, schedule estimates, and risk management
� Explores new technologies and determines need and business viability of vertical extensions around Wind River product and services capabilities
� Able to provide technical input and support the definition of Wind River business Automotive market strategy
� Contributes in definition of focus and effort to build up technical skills and IP in Wind River strategic areas

Position requirements:

� 4-year technical degree, advanced degree preferred
� Minimum 8+ years relevant engineering experience (embedded automotive) with prior development experience with digital living, wireless and 3G applications
� Proven technical leadership and deep automotive specific technical skills
� Track record of expertise in one or more automotive specific technology (Telematics, Infotainment)
� Excellent writing and verbal skills; very good presentation skills
� Outstanding decision making skills and judgment, independent work
� Has track record for spearheading major innovations in product functionality technology or methods

This position can be based in Wind River's Alameda or Santa Clara, CA office.

The Senior Linux Security Developer will be responsible for the architecture design, implementation and integration of security in the Wind River Linux products.

This individual is required to work in a fast-paced environment with dedicated and highly talented engineers responsible for the evolution of the Linux products at Wind River. He/She will be required to work closely with other engineering teams, Product Marketing, Project Managers and customers. He/she must have the skills needed to elicit, understand and analyze customer requirements, propose architecture and high-level design, and participate in technical discussions involving all aspects of Linux system security.

Desired Skills and Experience:
� BS in computer science, computer engineering or related subject area (or equivalent experience)
� 10 or more years of embedded software design experience with uniformly increasing levels of responsibility
� Very Strong knowledge of computer security architecture and implementation
� Very Strong knowledge of, and experience with, SELinux; both use and preferably development
� Familiarity with Common Criteria EAL4 Certification (OSPP, RBAC, LSPP)
� Knowledge of Secure Boot/UEFI Boot, Integrity Measured Architecture, Attestation, Trusted Computing
� Knowledge of other Linux security solutions such as GRSecurity and Smack
� Strong embedded application and system design experience with Linux
� Strong abilities in C, and scripting (shell, Python)
� Strong skills in development tools, build systems such as Bitbake
� Strong skills in presentation, documentation, and customer interaction
� Ability to work well in a distributed team environment
� Understanding of the complexities of cross-compiling existing OSS software
� Fluent understanding of the layout and configuration aspects of a Linux system

Responsibilities include the following:
- Based on reports from developers using Wind River products, the engineer will identify and correct or provide workarounds for defects in operating systems and tools, design and write programs that test functionality and demonstrate the proper implementation of APIs.

Required Experience
- At least 10 years of customer support experience
- At least 5 years programming experience with C/C++ or experience debugging C/C++ applications
- At least 3 years of programming experience on Linux or 5 years supporting Linux developers
- Strong networking knowledge/experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills (written and verbal)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of Linux tools
