Based in Santa Rosa, the ATE Engineer will report to the Manager of Test Engineering, and be responsible for supporting current and future product introductions in the ATE, test and programming function.
Responsibilities for this position include:
•Planning and coordination of formal qualification tests for systems, applications and components.
•Work with NPI and R&D Test engineers to design and implement the production test solution for new GBU products.
•Work with R&D & Marketing to define a production test to meet customer specifications and diagnostic production testing
•Coordination with R&D software and hardware engineers to synchronize deliverables
•Lead the creation/maintenance of test plans and schedules
•Lead the production test solutions in automated or manual testing for Time and Frequency
•Work with manufacturing engineers in the collection of data on test results to substantiate requirements for process improvement
•Adequately establish robust and re-useable measurement methods that guarantee product performance, improve confidence in product quality, and improve yields,
•Adequately leverage common automatic test platforms and test software between products and projects,
•Documentation of failed tests in the defect tracking system and proactively
communicate the results
•Report status/progress to test director, project leads, and team members as
needed
•Planning and executing user evaluation events to obtain feedback from potential
users
•Authoring training material
•Sustain and improve manufacturing processes
•Lead the production test solutions in automated or manual testing for Time and Frequency
•Some travel will be required.
Requirements for this position include:
•BSCE, BSCS or BSEE
•Experienced with LabView, Visual Basic, Access Database, ORACLE
•Experienced with instrumentation and test equipment
•Experienced in providing engineering support in a manufacturing environment
•Experienced with design, development and operation of production test equipment and test fixtures.
•Experienced in assisting with the design, evaluation and implementation of assembly machinery.
•Experienced in object oriented languages and SW architectures and test executives
•Experienced in manufacturing test in effective and robust measurement techniques, including uncertainty, test limits, and yield,
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities and work cooperatively in a team environment.
