3 years currently have less then 25 employees and growing rapidly. Silver Tail
was founded by a team of fraud prevention experts who built anti-fraud and
anti-phishing tools at eBay and PayPal. Through their experience and proprietary
algorithms, they have built a system that is scalable, minimizes false positive
rates, and is extremely flexible to adapt to changing attack vectors. Silver
Tail´s recent work with several popular websites has found that as much as 50%
of traffic can be robotic with a substantial amount of live exploits at any
point in time. Most of this had been completely undetected by the sites. Silver
Tail Systems Forensics took minutes to discover the exploits, saving these
companies weeks of analysis. Silver Tail Systems Mitigation helps to divert and
block the bad behavior in real time, saving the cost of resources to rewrite
pages.

Systems Administration/Operations Engineer Prefer local candidates

Silver Tail Systems is looking for an experienced Systems Administration
/Operations engineer with substantial support experience, technical skills and a
solid understanding of the online or website fraud space. This role encompasses
both internal system operations and external customer support. The role will be
muti-faceted, highly varied, and driven by the need to support a company
experiencing hyper-growth. This individual should be highly motivated,
resourceful, enjoy taking on new challenges, and be very adept at working in a
small company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Manage and support Silver Tail Systems Internal System Operations

§ Manage the company's internal networks including development and production

§ Manage 'remote-hands' at Silver Tail Systems' datacenter

§ Manage capacity planning of Silver Tail Systems' environments

o Assist Silver Tail Systems' Solutions Engineering team

§ Respond to customer system issues and ensure they are driven to resolution

§ Perform remote installations of Silver Tail Systems software

§ Interact with the development team to understand software issues and
resolution of those issues

§ Consistently evaluate the installation process to find new ways to improve
the perceived value of the offerings.

§ Candidate will be a supportive team member as well as work independently on
multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

o Must be guru/wizard in LINUX with basic shell scripting skills

o Must understand distributed architecture

o Must have basic networking understanding

o Experience with port mirroring (SPAN or VACL) is a plus

o Experience with secure protocols (SSL and HTTPS) is a plus

o Intelligent and creative

o Strong interpersonal and communication skills

o At least 5 years of experience in support, engineering, or a combination of
the two
