Software White-Box/Feature Test Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6 months+
Candidate will participate in a project team of engineers involved in IOS-XE, NXOS and NG-XR focusing on feature and White box testing, design and development of test cases, Design and development of infrastructure test harnesses, and automation of test scripts and programs for OS and Infrastructure software such as Linux Kernel, File System, processes, Inter-Process Communication, and Memory Management and other related areas.
Required Skills:
* Experience testing Networking, Linux kernel, using Open Source and shell environments is required.
* Requires use of a background in C coding, scripting languages and strong testing as well as debugging skills.
* Champion new improved design methodologies, documentation and implementation including unit, performance, scale and system software independently tested after specification of platform requirements and solve system wide problems, and apply extensive experience in RTOS(Real Time Operating System) infrastructure and knowledge of OS internals, file system, Memory and other related areas. Understand advanced testing architecture principles and design practices. Understand advanced datacom concepts. Superior fault analysis and testing skills

Ability to plan large projects and take a lead role, mentor junior member in the testing team and participate in project test team for the SW release, including building the software, coordinating with other departments, and participating in scheduling (from conception to testing). Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed by internal team, cross functional teams, and management.
Define Reliability, Availability, Serviceability (RAS) goals for products.
Requires MSEE/CS combined with 5-7 years of related experience, or BSEE/CS
