Business Analyst
The role of Business Analyst requires an analytical, creative, and passionate commitment to enabling teams to use processes, tools, and technologies to improve efficiencies coupled with the ability and interest to stay current on new and emerging methodologies, tools, and technologies.
The Program Services Infrastructure Team's mission is to make technology work for Program Services. The BA works with the Engineering Management, Program Services teams, Product Marketing, IT and Finance and third-party partners/vendors to evaluate, design, implement process, tools, and technologies.
The Business Analyst serves as a resource for Program Services teams that includes working with end users and content owners in accessing and/or deploying content on project management systems, portfolio management systems, customer information portals and collaboration platforms.
The Business Analyst employs effective methodologies for project management such as: identifying and communicating project requirements; creating and maintaining effective project plans; and collaborating with internal and third-party project partners on identifying, assigning, and resolving action items.
Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to improve business operations and processes
Understand stakeholder needs to gather and analyze requirements
Research tools and technology options to address business needs. Evaluate and prioritize options based on business criteria. Generate and recommend design options.
Manage cross-functional project teams to develop and rollout of new systems and features
Document business processes and system technical design
Automate reports and dashboards for management stakeholders
Train users on business systems and processes. Provide support as needed.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Business process mapping and value stream analysis
Strong collaborative communication skills, written and verbal
Able to facilitate requirements meetings with stakeholders and subject matter experts
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with advanced MS Excel features such as VBA and pivot tables
Familiarity with advanced SharePoint, MS Office, and MS Project features
A quick study and proven ability to learn and evaluate new tools.
Basic Qualification:
Bachelor's degree
3+ years' experience in business analysis in Finance or IT/Data Analytics/ Data Science
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare industry experience a plus
Familiarity with product development process
Experience working with development vendors
