Business Systems Analyst (BSA) needed for long term (1+ year) direct client project. Client is Fortune 500 (stable, public, growing). eCommerce Digital Content Management
Job summary
OTM is seeking an experienced e-commerce BSA to join a large scale Digital Content Management (DCM) team. You will define and transform the systems, tools and processes that enable the DCM Production team to bring the latest products / content across different platforms. Your mission is to improve the business team's velocity and flexibility for making changes as well as increase the quality of the information presented to client customers to support growth into new markets, new customer experiences, and new platforms.
The BSA will engage DCM Production, Product, content Dev, Engineering and cross-functional teams to map out DCM business production process from upstream source of product data/content integration to final catalog presentation online.He or she will focus on product catalog production processes, underlining product data structure and relevant system tools. He will help to articulate problems, vague ideas or concepts and turn them into structured analysis for engineering solution assessment, project formation and
business decision making.
Required Experience:
• 8+ years of hands-on experience working in large-scale, global product catalog management environments with in-depth industry knowledge on product data strategy, product data structure and Product Metadata Management
• Strong experience in product data analysis is a must with hands on experience in metadata,
data collection, cleansing, modeling and discovering useful information to support architecture solution and business decision making
• Strong experience in business process management is a must with in-depth knowledge of tools, processes and methodologies including documenting as-is and to-be process flows.
Trained in Six-Sigma is a plus
• Demonstrated success in influencing business decision making, data governance policy and process improvement supported by structured and data analysis literally across organizations
• A problem solver who thrives in ambiguous working environment with the ability to develop strategy and tactic approach to turn vague ideas into clear definition
• Experience in Agile methodologies and implementation model including user story writing
• Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks under pressure with a high degree of flexibility to expand his or her responsibilities when needed
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills across cross-functional and global audiences that include DCM production, engineering, content development and product management
Project Description:
You will be the DCM product data expert responsible for defining detailed requirements for business processes and the product catalog.
You will represent the DCM Production community throughout the project lifecycle, defining solutions that promote best-in-class practices in the various facets of web production: demand management, production workflow, delivery processes, quality assurance.
This involves:
• Knowing the DCM Production (your customers), their product platforms processes and tools
• Defining best-in-class systems and processes that will enable the DCM production team to support the business goals
• Driving requirements gathering that promote scalability, smart production practices, and intuitive usability
• Effectively articulating requirement with process flows, feature definition and data metrics to the technology teams who will build production systems and tools
• Managing business team adoption of these tools and processes through readiness planning, documentation, training, and support
• Understanding the businesses demand for new website features and functionality that have a high reliance on publishing capabilities
• Project management and coordination in a cross-functional environment with hands on experience across project cycle, e.g. project formation, launch and execution including UAT, production cutover, business roll out is a plus
