RiskIQ protects corporate brands and their customers on the internet. The company combines a worldwide proxy network with synthetic clients that emulate users to monitor, detect and take down malicious and copycat apps, drive by malware and malvertisements. RiskIQ is being used by leading financial institutions and brands in the US to protect their web assets and users from security threats and fraud. We are in San Francisco, backed by growth equity firms Summit Partners and Battery Ventures.
We are looking for a hands on leader who thrives on delivering world-class systems with a proven track record of running 24X7 technical operations in the cloud at scale. In this role you will get to switch gears between solving complex technical issues and determining the vision and direction of the team.
Your background includes:
-Maintaining a 24x7 production cloud based infrastructure supporting RiskIQ's customers. Establish uptime metrics and devise ways to improve them.
-You have strong skills in System Administration and implementation of systems
-You have experience working in a Linux environment
-You have effective communicate skills in and among the organization on system performance
-You can model infrastructure growth and create plans for meeting that growth.
-You create a strong engineering culture: customer focus; excellent technology and high quality
-You are a doer - you are self-motivated, innovative and a problem-solver

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? As a Director you will possess the following:
-BA Degree in Computer Science or similar field (MS is highly desirable)
-7+ years of technology operations and management experience. 8+ years of hands on experience with Linux system administration and hosted business applications.
-Expert understanding of what it means to run a global large-scale virtualized infrastructure in the Cloud (preferably AWS).
-Fundamental knowledge from system administration to system architect.
-Managed and scaled a small team.
-Positive, enthusiastic attitude with great teamwork and interpersonal skills, reflecting the ability to interact with cross department groups.
-Ability to work under pressure and solve problems using an analytical approach; decisive, fast moving; quick and constructive resolutions of conflicts; and a can-do mentality.
-Manage a small team of 2+(full-time) 4+(contractors).
-Stay current by rolling up your sleeves as a hands on individual contributor.
