Security Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA and Salt Lake City, Utah areas

Position description:

In this Security Engineer role this is one that will combine the aspects of an IT Security Analyst, Security Architect, Incident Response Consultant, a Security Sales Engineer, and Technical Support. The Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing, overseeing, managing, and supporting the network security infrastructure for multiple enterprises by leveraging the company's cloud infrastructure. Success in this role does not depend on only technical expertise. An ability to communicate, educate, and share information with non-technical people is essential. The Security Engineer will be actively involved in selling and should either have or be willing to develop sales skills as well as an understanding of the sales process. The Security Engineer will be helping the customer diagnose problems as well as support specific customer requests.



Required skills:

Detailed understanding of Enterprise IT Security, including: firewalls, intrusion detection, antivirus, content filtering, and proxies.

Ability to analyze log and system data from these and other IT systems as well as how to use one or more scripting tools and languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.

Strong writing and communication skills

Ability to work closely with all internal departments such as engineering, operations, sales, marketing, and executive management

A willingness to learn and try new things is critical with a positive can-do attitude.

Bachelor's degree preferred but not a must. Degree in engineering or technology are a plus. Any security or IT certification such as CISSP is a big plus.

• Security forensics

• Malware analysis

• E-discovery

• Threat containment

• Firewall and IDS provisioning

• Proxy and content filtering provisioning

• Authentication and identify management

• Risk Assessment

• Network and Security Auditing

• Penetration testing

• Attack simulation

• Selling through on-line webinars

• PowerPoint presentation skills

• Salesforce, Zendesk, and Marketo systems
