ECUMENICAL HUNGER PROGRAM

Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator – Part Time

Reports to: Administrative Manager

Position Status Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Employee is responsible for media and outreach communications, donor and volunteer communication and related activities. Create and maintain volunteer database, and assist with producing reports. Must be able to maintain and promote EHP's values:

Primary Responsibilities

1. Recruit, screen, schedule and track volunteers<

2. Update volunteer manual as needed

3. Respond in a timely manner to all volunteer requests/inquiries

4. Provide training to current and incoming volunteers

5. Collaborate with supervisors and leads to match available work and timeframe for volunteers priorto scheduling

6. Keep department supervisors and leads up to date with confirmed volunteer schedules

7. Maintain and update volunteer reports and forms as needed

8. Maintain up-to-date, easily accessible volunteer database records consisting of names, addressestelephones and emails for volunteers, and referral sources/agencies

9. Represent EHP at various events using posters, flyers, and other appropriate advertisement

10. Partner with social, civic and local organizations and schools to develop partnerships whereappropriate to recruit volunteers

11. Provide feedback to volunteers in reference to their work, including reassignment or dismissal

12. Work with designated staff to set agenda, and facilitate monthly volunteer meeting

13. Other duties will be assigned, including attending safety meetings and other events beneficial to EHP

Note: Overtime will be required during certain times of the year.

Required Skills/Experience

1. Experience in a non-profit agency

2. Ability to work effectively with a diverse community of staff, volunteers, and others

3. Excellent verbal and written communication

4. Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, databases and webnavigation. Familiarity with social networks.

5. Organized and detail oriented

6. Ability to multi-task and flexible as priorities of workload/peak seasons change
