Featured Position: Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist
Location: Martinez, CA
Duration: Fulltime
Salary Range: $60-85K, DOE
Client Description: Our client offers solutions to help with construction, engineering, and environmental projects.
Position Summary: The Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist will be responsible for developing and maintaining procedures and programs to minimize risks and ensure all projects are in compliance.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Project and task management: preparation of technical reports, development of remedial/removal actions, scheduling, cost controls, cost tracking
• Supervision of soil and groundwater investigations as well as field sampling and oversight of field procedures
• Supervise personnel and assist in staff development/mentoring in technical areas
• Managing and preparing project proposals for business development
• Manage client expectations and maintain communication with clients and regulatory agencies
• Report to program manager on project statuses
Essential/Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university. (Civil Engineering or Geology preferred.)
• Minimum of 5 years previous experience in environmental and engineering consulting.
• M.S. / P.E./P.G. or other professional certifications preferred
• 40-hour OSHA certification and current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite Products.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to effectively interact with clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical staff and subcontractors.
• Ability to write project work plans, health and safety plans, traffic control plans, erosion control plans, etc.
• Ability to travel up to 25 to 50 percent of the time to project sites, as needed.
