OTM seeking a highly motivated Build Release Engineer for a long term consulting project for an excellent Client Company.
**Local candidates with local experience preferred
(Local = San Francisco Bay Area)**
Must Have:
We are looking for a candidate with technical experience with Build and Release who has good experience with Linux/Unix, GIT, Jenkins, Python Code base.
Job Responsibilities:
Help to deliver projects aimed at advancing web applications.
Build Release Engineering with demonstrated experience delivering advanced solutions in a multi-tier, distributed environment.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience with releasing software on complex web/internet platforms - Excellent Unix background; Unix/Linux experience a plus
- Working knowledge of SCM (software config management) best practices and applications deployed.
- 5 + years of build/release engineering experience in unix environment
- Proficiency in more than one scripting languages (ie. unix shell scripting, Perl, Ruby, and/or Python)
- Knowledge of Java, Virtualization and AWS is a plus.
- Experience with automated builds, deployments, troubleshooting to multiple QA environments.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and related tools (ie. Jenkins)
- Experience with source control tools such as GIT.
- Working knowledge of complex environments involving firewalls, webservers, application servers, databases, etc.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experienced with working effectively in cross-functional teams
