This is combination of a technical marketing and product management roles working with the engineering team and customers to define, build and launch new SDN products. This is an ideal role for a Technical Marketing Engineer from networking companies who wants to grow in a Product Manager position.<br /><br /> This is a 40 hr per week; 3 month contract to perm role at the client's offices in Menlo Park, CA. (There is flexibility to work offsite a couple of days per week). This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions' employee. <br /><br /> Responsibilities:<br /><br /> • Understand the current SDN product portfolio, install the SDN/NFV software and come up with technical requirements for new features and ideas. <br /><br /> • Drive customer demos, proof of concepts<br /><br /> • Guide engineering on technical requirements<br /><br /> • Help to develop product strategy, roadmap and positioning <br /><br /> • Perform competitive analysis; learn and analyze industry developments at SDN industry forums, news media, competitor intelligence<br /><br /> • Develop marketing collateral (price list, product presentation, data sheet, product bulletin) for partners and customers<br /><br /> • Lead product launch and help with related marketing activities (website, social media, blogs, etc.) <br /><br /> Requirements:<br /><br /> • 5+ years of networking industry experience<br /><br /> • 1-2 years of product management experience<br /><br /> • Sound technical understanding of switching and routing protocols, products and use cases; prior technical marketing experience<br /><br /> • Familiarity with SDN product portfolio of major networking OEMs (VMware, Cisco, IBM, Juniper Networks, HP)<br /><br /> • Excellent written and oral communication skills<br /><br /> • Ability to work across geographically distributed organizational and functional boundaries (engineering, sales and business development)<br /><br /> • Entrepreneurial mindset, roll-up sleeve attitude with start-up like passion <br /><br /> • BS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, MBA preferred<br /><br /> Please submit your resume to our network at http://www.stage4solutions.com/careers.html (please apply to the Technical Marketing Engineer, SDN Solution (Menlo Park, CA) position).<br /><br /> <br /><br /> Please feel free to forward this project opening to others you think may be interested.<br /><br /> Thanks,<br /><br
