General Overview:
Responsible for collaborating with business and IT teams to improve processes and efficiency and for implementing business solutions in Merchandising and Inventory Management spaces, providing post-implementation support afterwards. This position offers considerable responsibility and interaction with key stakeholders from the business unit and IT. This position requires outstanding communication and organizational skills, the ability to research existing systems independently to understand current capabilities and proven proficiency to envision future solutions that minimize support and maximize ease of use and functionality.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems
• Define scope for new or potential projects; gather and prioritize requirements based on end user facilitation, analysis of business processes and envisioning. Be able to identify/explain requirements which achieve maximum business benefits. Develop innovative and creative approaches.
• Perform the role of an agile product owner, able to effectively represent the business, make optimal functional decisions, and convey to the programming team what is to be built.
• Evaluate and articulate technical requirements and identify impact, risk and benefit of alternative solutions
• Maintain a deep awareness of how a business operation works and help stakeholders explore technology possibilities to more effectively execute on their roles.
• Become process and subject matter expert
• Plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing; and create system specifications to meet business requirements
• Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring more junior level staff on process and best practices for conducting requirements practices.
• Project manage activities, including estimating, developing, and monitoring project plans for medium sized projects
• Provide post implementation support to business users with a strong client service
• Design intuitive user interfaces to support business processes.
• Document and maintain functional specifications for enhancements and new systems, allowing traceability back to testing and allowing future use of the documents for support.
• Write user help documentation.
• Perform system analysis independently or by collaborating with developers and other IT peers to understand applications and if an issue, determine if it is user or system based; follow-up with solution and/or escalate appropriately.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to complete deliverables and resolve issues timely.
Job Requirements:
==============
• 7+ years of information technology and/or business experience related to merchandising and inventory management.
• Demonstrate ability to effectively work both independently and within cross functional project teams
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio useful.
• SQL experience - understanding of joins, basic sql commands.
• Strong attention to detail, superior follow-up, pro-active and results oriented.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion written and orally to technical and non-technical audiences, regardless of level.
• Naturally wears "company hat", works independently yet exudes team spirit, and demonstrates flexibility and creativity.
• Ability to self-manage multiple projects within tight time frames and dynamic priorities.
• Extensive experience interpreting user needs and writing functional specifications for new systems, systems changes and/or system enhancements
• Show strong customer support initiative.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Project management experience a plus.
