Sr. Network Engineer

Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced (5+ years) Network Engineer to join thier growing team. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively work with a wide range of personalities, businesses and varying technical needs. Key factors to success include effective communications skills and EXCELLENT customer service skills.
This is designed to be a growth position and provides a great opportunity to work with a very strong technical team. You should enjoy designing and implementing IT solutions using a range of legacy and cutting edge products.
Responsibilities:
�Directly responsible for implementing solutions from start to finish, ranging from Exchange 2010, VMware virtualization, VOIP implementations, networking, etc.
�Complete documentation of implemented solutions, assessments (network, infrastructure), etc.
� Work directly with clients and prospects to conduct assessments and write up Findings Recommendations
� Work with our Managed Services Practice (MSP) team to resolve escalated IT Support issues.
� Demonstrate an ability to work independently on projects and ensure completion
� Work within a team of IT support professionals including other Junior/Senior level Engineers, IT Consultants, Account Managers and our Administrative staff to provide enterprise class IT solutions and customer service.
� Mentor Junior level Engineers
� Participate within general on-boarding activities for new clients.
�Implement IT solutions in accordance with established methodologies and best practice processes. Provide leadership and suggestions in the areas of process improvement, IT system/tool acquisition and/or product development that have tangible benefits within the Consulting Services model.
�Participate in Sales calls to provide general engineering support to the sales process, or as subject matter expert on a specific technologies and solutions.
�Work with Sales and Project Management Office to provide pre-sales support and assist with Remediation/Solutions Proposals
�Assist with Scope/Statement of Work development for new projects, as required.
Requirements:
� Previous work experience within an IT Services, Managed Services, or Consulting firm a BIG plus.
�Previous roles such as �team/tech lead,� �technical architect,� and/or �supervisor� and strong leadership skills and experience
�Ability to design a solution and drive it from start to finish with minimal supervision
�Implementation expertise in any of the following technologies: Windows technology (AD 2008), Messaging Architecture (Exchange 2010), SharePoint, VMware virtualization, SAN technology (Compellent, EMC, EqualLogic), VOIP (Ring Central, M5, CISCO UC500, UCMBE, Call Manager, Unity, etc.), SQL Server, Network Architecture (ASA, PIX, router/switch configuration), Citrix (XenApp Server, CAG).
�Strong experience in backup design, administration and support using tools such as Symantec Backup Exec, StorageCraft ShadowProtect, Ontrack PowerControls, Acronis Backup Recovery, Iron Mountain LiveVault/Connected, etc.
� Administrative knowledge of least one enterprise class AntiSpam, antivirus and antispyware product from the following vendors: Postini, Webroot, Barracuda Networks, Symantec, McAfee or Trend Micro.
�UNIX and Mac experience a plus
�Working knowledge of IT monitoring tools such as Nimsoft, BMC, Nagios, Zenith Infotech SaaZ, etc., a plus. Working knowledge of systems/incident management tools such as Kaseya, Remedy, ConnectWise, etc., also considered a plus.
