Sr. Systems Administrator - RHEL
Position Description
Responsible for activities related to system administration. Provide technical leadership to other system administrators. This position is accountable for the deployment and administration of all enterprise hardware, software and peripherals. System Administration lead on various project implementations.
Provide recommendations and implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system. Collaborate and work with all other Infrastructure and applications teams to deliver key technology projects to the business.
Responsibilities
� Provide technical leadership for system administration to all projects
� Lead and coach other System Administrators
� Accountable for the deployment and administration of all enterprise hardware, software and peripherals
� Design, implement and support enterprise server hardware, operating systems (both Windows and Linux)
� Perform system administration functions (security, access control, change management, data backup/restore)
� Lead and perform Disaster Recovery functions
� Provide after hour support as needed
� Assist in problem Management for all applications
� Proactive communications with IT teams on system changes.
� Configuration, installation and maintenance of advanced storage systems (SAN, NAS) and protocols (iSCSI)
� In-depth, hands-on Active Directory experience required
� DNS/WINS administration experience
� Experience writing group policies require
� Basic understanding of NetApp Storage and associated tools
� Basic understanding of VMware and virtualization technologies
� Accountable for ensuring that all system administration issues are resolved quickly with detailed root cause analysis performed and documented
� Partner with all other IT Operations and Applications teams for implementations and problem management
Requirements
� 7+ years� experience implementing and supporting:
o Enterprise O/S deployment and administration
o Enterprise server hardware
o Enterprise applications
o Security infrastructure
o Advanced system administration functions
o Mid-to-large scale storage technologies
� RHEL (RedHat Enterprise Linux)
�DNS/WINS administration experience
�SAN / NAS and iSCSI experience
� Virtualization and NetApps experience
�Scripting (Perl, Python, Ruby, Bash)
� Experience writing group policies required
� Disaster recovery
� Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
