Job Description: Mask Process Modeling Engineer- Data Scientist Company Profile Model Based Mask Data Prep (MB-MDP) is a design and software approach to enhance the quality and throughput of e-beam lithographic exposure. MB-MDP uses advanced simulation capabilities combined with design and software techniques to improve the accuracy as well as required write time, key components in mask value and cost. D2S is a highly innovative company that is small, nimble, and very successful in its vision to have eBeam technology take a leading role in the EDA industry. Some of our innovations include TrueMask* MDP which leverages D2S* unique GP-GPU accelerated Computational Design Platform (CDP) with 400 TFLOPS of computing power.
D2S is a well funded firm which has taken a leadership role in the development of eBeam technology by forming a consortium (www.eBeam.org) of over 40 different entities across the semiconductor supply chain.
Responsibilities * Deliver world-class models for customers to support key customer engagements. * Assist in the training of internal and external customers. * Identify gaps and prototype solutions as the major technical link between customers and R&D. * Contribute to tool improvements from a customer/user perspective.
Qualifications * MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or another related field. Ideal candidate will come from top tier university. * Strong background in statistical problem analysis. . Background in Matlab, R, S, Monte Carlo, and other data tools * Ideal Background will be having bkdgd or knowledge of developing and implementing model-based simulations. Preferred emphasis on: Mask Process Correction, Optical Proximity Correction, compact process modeling, eBeam scattering, or resist patterning. * Proficient in UNIX shell environment and a programming language or a scripting language like TCL or PERL. * Good communication skills with both colleagues and customers, especially the ability to effectively communicate over large geographic distances. * Ability to work independently and think creatively. Additional desired skills * Professional and service oriented with customers * Experience with CAD design and layout tools. * C++, parallel programming, and/or Qt experience.
