Job Description:
The Director, Operations is responsible for building and maintaining our mission critical technical infrastructure to high levels of availability, security, scalability, performance, and efficiency. As a leader in the technical operations team, he/she contributes critically to technical architecture, project prioritization, scalable automation, capacity planning, and all aspects of maintaining a world-class cloud based service.
Don���t be concerned if you aren���t an expert in some or all of these technologies. Technology at Intacct moves quickly, and eagerness to explore and to learn is more important than a close match of your prior experience to the technologies used today. Key technologies employed at Intacct include Linux, apache/PHP, java/tomcat, Oracle RDBMS, Juniper and Cisco networking, virtualization, and many others. We use a combination of Amazon web services and our own server farms operating out of physical data centers.
Job Responsibilities:
• Architect, build, deliver and automate infrastructure to improve the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of Intacct's service.
• Design, implement, and operate infrastructure monitoring to identify system failures and automate resolution.
• Measure, set and improve SLA performance for services, infrastructure and network.
• Measure and manage capacity, resource utilization, and expansion.
• Iterate, revisit and optimize all aspects of infrastructure to take advantage of new technology and practices.
• Maintain software components, i.e., operating systems, web servers, application execution environments.
• Design, configure, and maintain server networks.
• Manage network security, routing, bandwidth, performance.
• Lead and mentor a talented technical team.
• Participate in the team's 24x7 on call rotation.
• Manage compliance and audits with PCI and SSAE-16 standards.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related fields.
• 7+ years of progressive systems administration or operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
• Experience operating medium or large scale, high quality cloud systems, focused on the infrastructure layer of the technology stack.
• Ability to manage, troubleshoot, and tune Linux-based infrastructure; Windows experience is a plus.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing and firewalls.
• Familiarity with scripting/programming skills for automating system administration tasks
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; ability to communicate to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high growth environment.
• Passion for continuous improvement; meeting an SLA isn't enough for you.
