You'll be assisting in developing a suite of B2B mobile and web apps that automate field service. You'll need a strong technical background, as the products are complex with many layers of data and sometimes intricate relationships between data items. You'll be responsible for designing pages, navigation, and interactions as well as creating the graphical elements to support or working with our design group to develop the needed assets. You'll work with a great team of product managers to come up with designs and mockups.
In this role you'll design pages and screens for enterprise cloud-based web and mobile applications for field service. You'll own the entire process for several products, including:
• Information architecture and workflow
• Wireframing
• High fidelity mockups
• Annotations and specs
Some of the products are new; some have been shipping for a while and are being redesigned.
About you
You believe that Enterprise apps don't have to suck and you've worked hard to make that a reality. You can't touch an app or gadget without thinking how you'd make it better. You find yourself saying "But you know what would make it great...?" A lot. You've designed apps for smartphones and tablets and the Web. Usability is second-nature to you.
Your attention to detail is fanatical. Your mockups never have typos or misaligned elements. You finish what you start. On time.
You have an eye for design; you know the trends and know what apps are at the forefront. But you also recognize that design has to support usability and that form can't compromise functions.
Your aesthetic is simple, light, minimalistic. You are good at spotting design elements in other places and applying them to your work.
Qualifications
Working knowledge of design guidelines for iOS and Android; our client's design app of choice is currently Axure, but they're always interested in new tools and ways to work. They also use Sketch and Pixelmator; if you know Photoshop and Illustrator you'll be fine. Bonus points if you know how to use Salesforce or have worked in a similar environment.
