We are currently seeking a proven pre-sales professional with a recent storage industry background to join their federal sales team. The qualified candidate will work closely with the sales team and customers to present and propose technical solutions to end user customers and channel partners. This is a great opportunity to join a "hot" company in their space:<br /><br /> Position: Sales Engineer<br /><br /> Location: California and Utah <br /><br /> Position description:<br /><br /> We are currently seeking an experienced, hands-on Pre-Sales Engineer to assist in the pre-sales process to help provide viable and compelling solutions to customers. The Sales Engineer/Systems Engineer will use consultative technical sales skills to assist customers with the design and configuration of company products, deliver technical product demonstrations, deliver technical training, respond to customer inquiries, help to train new employees on product, assist the sales team in responding to RFP���s or answering technical questions, and to develop strategies to develop solutions for customers. Candidate must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be hard working, driven, competitive and highly creative.<br /><br /> Required skills:<br /><br /> 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales role with a background with storage product offerings <br /><br /> Strong experience in providing systems configuration, product training, demo and sales support directly to prospects, customers and channel partners. <br /><br /> Highly knowledgeable of technologies, industry trends, operation and support of back up products, data protection products or storage products. <br /><br /> Excellent communication and presentation skills. <br /><br /> Some previous experience with a smaller company. <br /><br /> Experience with multiple operating systems including Windows, UNIX and Linux. <br /><br /> Ability to travel as needed throughout the geographic territory <br /><br /> BA/BS in Computer Science or Technology preferred (or equivalent work experience). <br /><br /> For consideration send cover letter and resume referencing job#PRE555 to mike@fowlerplacement.com
