Kforce has a client in San Jose, California (CA) that is seeking a Security Project Manager. Summary: This role will work with the team to help manage various projects and activities executed by the team to help drive ownership and accountability over protecting data and solution new processes and technologies for data security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and determining projects for assessment, planning, tracking progress and milestones, deliverables, resources, budget allocations, and creating and presenting reports. Responsibilities: * Partner with engineering teams and 3rd party vendors to lead security assessments by driving project planning, execution and delivery * Liaise with cross-functional engineering teams, security architects, operations and related stakeholders to gather requirements, plan, manage and complete projects * Work with primary points of contact for vendors, internal business groups to get an understanding of all aspects of worker on boarding processes * Develop and execute plans under set delivery time constraints to meet project timelines * Identify and analyze project dependencies, risks and manage accordingly * Establish communication and set expectations on appropriate remediation on findings * Collect and report out monthly / quarterly project metrics for executives * Collaborate with other project managers to align and synchronize timelines and project plans
Required Skills
* 3 - 5 years of project management experience * PMP, CISSP, CISA, or CIPP certification a plus * Possess working knowledge of information security as related to product security and IT * Possess knowledge in project life cycles, agile and waterfall methodologies * Possess strong interpersonal skills * Must be detailed oriented and highly organized * Ability to handle multiple projects, vendors, resources, timelines simultaneously
