Kforce has a client seeking a Source Code Admin in Palo Alto, CA. As a member of the Source Code Management Team, the candidate will maintain the source code management tools used by engineers. The ideal candidate should be a detail oriented source code administrator/tools engineer capable of supporting complex systems and user requests, as well as quickly understanding existing tools and making necessary improvements. A proven track record of supporting R&D groups is a must. We are looking for a person with great technical, interpersonal and communication skills and passion for working with open source software. This position involves close work with software developers who have both high expectations and detailed technical backgrounds.
Required Skills
* B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field, M.S. preferred * 5+ years experience in source code management administration or supporting source code related processes * 3 years software development preferred * Passion for open-source software * Must have basic Linux system administration skills * Must have scripting experience in Python * Experience supporting global software development teams highly desirable * Experience with puppet desirable * Experience with SQL and Python Django desirable * Experience with Git and/or Perforce source code management administration preferred * May need to occasionally work outside of normal working hours to support 24/7 global R&D operation
