Kforce has a client seeing a Senior MTS UI / UX Engineer in Palo Alto, California (CA). Summary: The Mid / Senior UI / UX Engineer is involved in the hands-on development, maintenance and enhancement of internal web applications and productivity tools. The candidate will work with stakeholders and customers to understand requirements and ensure application meets functional requirements and user experience. Responsibilities: * Work with engineers, designers, business analysts and operations teams to develop dynamic client-side web applications * Prototype and develop new ideas and participate in all parts of the lifecycle from research to release * Transform wireframes and visual designs into working HTML / CSS prototypes * Develop and optimize front-end UI to ensure web applications are rendered consistently in cross-browser environments * Create front-end code templates using XHTML / HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and JSON / XML as well as JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, AngularJS, NodeJS, and GruntJS * Coordinate and collaborate with a distributed global development team * Mentor other developers and review code and designs in a senior role * Follow industry trends with regard to front-end technologies and techniques
Required Skills
* 5+ years of working experience as a UI/UX developer * Extensive experience developing and consuming RESTful web services * Familiarity with current development tools such as Jenkins, Perforce, Git, bower, and npm * Must be able to write clean, scalable, standards-compliant, reusable, quality code with strong knowledge of OO design * Working experience with Agile development methodology in real world projects * Demonstrated passion for user experience design and improving usability * Working knowledge of database like MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Postgress SQL is a plus * Good interpersonal skills and experience communicating with and managing the expectations of both technical and non-technical stakeholders * Ability to multi-task and manage multiple assignments in a fast paced environment
